U.S. Stocks Open Lower Ahead Of Fed Meeting
U.S. stocks opened lower on Tuesday as investors were jittery ahead of the two-day Federal Open Market Committee meeting that concludes Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 90 points, or 0.5%, to 17,885, erasing some of the gains from the previous session. The S&P 500 opened 6 points or 0.3%, lower at 2,074. The Nasdaq Composite began the day down 6 points, or 0.1%, at 4,923.
