U.S. Stocks Open Higher; Dow Jump 140 Points
U.S. stocks opened higher Monday, as investors appeared to shrug off weaker oil prices. Solid gains follow two days of losses last week. The S&P 500 opened 17 points, or 0.9%, higher to 2,022. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 141 points or 0.8% to 17,269. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 41 points or 0.9%, at 4,964.
