U.S. Stocks Open Higher Amid Flurry Of Data

U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Tuesday as investors brace for economic reports that could determine the path of monetary policy. The S&P 500 opened 10 points, or 0.5% higher, at 2,090. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 68 points, or 0.4%, to 17,789 at the open. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 18 points, or 0.4%, at 5,126.
