U.S. Stocks Open Higher After Retail Sales Data
U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday as investors assessed a number of economic reports including monthly retail sales. The S&P 500 opened 5 points, or 0.3%, higher at 2,112. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 66 points, or 0.3%, to 18,060. The Nasdaq Composite began the day higher, adding 17 points, or 0.4% to 5,095.
