U.S. Stocks Open Higher After Deluge Of Earnings
U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday, boosted by a raft of earnings from companies such as Delta Inc. and Intel Corp. Investors mostly shrugged off weaker-than-expected manufacturing data. The S&P 500 opened 8.24 points, or 0.4%, higher at 2,104.39. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 80 points, or 0.4%, to 18,114.77. The Nasdaq Composite began the session up 16 points, or 0.3%, at 4,993.40.
