U.S. Stocks Open Flat, On Track For Monthly Gains

U.S. stocks opened little-changed on Friday but the main indexes were still on track to record modest weekly gains. The S&P 500 is on track to record its largest monthly gain since October 2011. Market reaction to slightly better-than-expected downward revision to the fourth-quarter GPD was minimal. The S&P 500 was flat at 2,110.76. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened down 15 points at 18,200. The Nasdaq Composite eased 2 points to 4,986.
