U.S. Stocks Open Flat As Black Friday Sales Trickle In

U.S. stocks opened little changed on Friday with the main indexes on track to finish the holiday-shortened week roughly where they started. Investors will focus on retailers' Black Friday sales numbers. The S&P 500 was up less than a point at 2,089. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 9 points to 17,807 at the open. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 8 points, or 0.2%, at at 5,125.
