U.S. stocks ended lower on Thursday, extending their losing streak to five days. A sharp selloff in the financials sector weighed on the main indexes while a drop in oil added fuel to the general rout. The S&P 500 closed 22.84 points, or 1.2%, lower at 1,828.02. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 255.10 points, or 1.6%, to 15,659.64. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite ended the day down 16.76 points, or 0.4%, at 4,266.84.
