U.S. Stocks End With Modest Losses After Last-minute Selloff

U.S. stocks erased modest gains in the last 15 minutes of trading, finishing slightly lower Monday. While the reversal seemed unusual, the trading range was narrow. Biotechnology stocks were among the hardest hit. The S&P 500 ended the session 3.68 points, or 0.2%, lower at 2,104.42. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished 11.61 points, or 0.1%, lower at 18,116.04. The Nasdaq Composie ended the day off 15.44 points, or 0.3%, at 5,010.97.
