U.S. Stocks End Higher As Bond Fears Fade
NEW YORK – U.S. stocks closed higher on Thursday, recovering some of the losses from the previous two sessions, as turbulence in bond markets in the U.S. and in Europe appeared to subside. The S&P 500 closed 7.85 points, or 0.4%, higher at 2,088.00. The Nasdaq Composite added 25.90 points, or 0.5%, to 4,945.54. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 82.08 points, or 0.5%, to 17,924.06.
