U.S. Stocks End Flat, Post Modest Weekly Gains

U.S. stocks ended Friday's thinly-traded session little changed with the main indexes finishing the week roughly where they started. The S&P 500 closed 1.24 points, or less than 0.1%, higher at 2,090.11 and was flat over the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 14.90 points, or less than 0.1%, to 17,798.49 and posted a 0.1% loss over the week. The Nasdaq Composite ended the day up 11.38 points, or 0.2%, at 5,127.52 and gained 0.4% over the week.
