U.S. Stocks Drift Lower In Early Trade
NEW YORK – The U.S. stock market opened lower on Thursday, with prices under pressure from weak economic indicators from Europe and China, while domestic data pointed to slight improvements. The S&P 500 opened 7 points, or 0.3% lower at 2,042. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 67 points, or 0.4%, to 17,619. The Nasdaq Composite began the day down 20 points, or 0.4%, at 4,655.
