U.S. Stocks Drift Lower In Early Trade
The U.S. stock market opened lower on Thursday, with prices under pressure from weak economic indicators from Europe and China, while domestic data pointed to slight improvements. The S&P 500 opened 7 points, or 0.3% lower at 2,042. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 67 points, or 0.4%, to 17,619. The Nasdaq Composite began the day down 20 points, or 0.4%, at 4,655.
