U.S. Stocks Close Lower; Post Weekly Gains

U.S. stocks ended the week on a cautious note Friday, but the main indexes still recorded weekly gains. The S&P 500 closed 11.31 points, or 0.5%, lower at 2,109.94, but posted a 0.8% gain over the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 101.16 points, or 0.6%, to 18,014.68, but ended the week with a 0.6% gain. The Nasdaq Composite ended the day down 15.95 points, or 0.3% at 5,117.00, and posted a 1.3% weekly gain.
