U.S. Stocks Close Lower On Concerns Of ECB Tightening
U.S. stocks finished down Tuesday following a report that the European Central Bank could end its quantitative easing efforts sooner than planned. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 85.40 points, or 0.5%, to close at 18,168.45, weighed down by shares of 3M Co. and DuPont . The S&P 500 Index declined 10.71 points, or 0.5%, to finish at 2,150.49, with the utilities and telecom sectors leading the index lower. The Nasdaq Composite index closed down 11.22 points, or 0.2%, at 5,289.66.
