U.S. Stocks Close Lower Ahead Of 'Brexit' Vote
U.S. stocks closed slightly lower Wednesday as Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen completed her second day of testimony before Congress and polls for the U.K.'s exit from the European Union became too close to call. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 48.90 points, or 0.3%, to close at 17,780.83. The S&P 500 Index declined 3.45 points, or 0.2%, to finish at 2,085.45. The Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 10.44 points, or 0.2%, to close at 4,833.32.
