U.S. Stock Open Higher; S&P 500, Dow Set To Records

U.S. stocks opened slightly higher on Wednesday, as the S&P 500 and the Dow industrials continued their record runs. Trading is expected to be very tepid in a session that will be cut short ahead of Christmas holiday. The S&P 500 opened 2 points, or 0.1%, higher at 2,084.26. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 25 points, or 0.2%, to 18,051.34 at the open. The Nasdaq Composite inched up 6 points, or 0.1%, to 4,771.13.
