U.S. Business Inventories Climb 0.3% In September
Business inventories rose 0.3% in September to a seasonally adjusted $1.76 trillion, the Commerce Department said Friday. That exceeded the MarketWatch forecast of a 0.2% gain. Sales were flat in September. The ratio of inventories to sales was also unchanged at 1.30. In August, inventory growth was revised down to 0.1% from 0.2%.
