Tyson Foods To Invest $27 Million To Expand Production At Iowa Beef And Pork Plant

Tyson Foods Inc. unit Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. is investing $27 million to expand production at a case-ready beef and pork plant in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The company said it expects to add 350 jobs at the plan, bringing total headcount to more than 1,400. Shares were not yet active in premarket trade, but are up 42.5% in the year so far, while the S&P 500 has gained 6%.
