Turkish President says he wants to strengthen economic and political ties with Bosnia

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his country wants to strengthen economic and political ties with Bosnia, where it has so far invested 50 million euros and intends to invest another 25 million.

Erdogan arrived in Sarajevo on Wednesday with a large number of ministers and businessmen who signed several deals that should increase the economic cooperation between the two countries. Bosnian President Mladen Ivanic said the extended export of food and other goods from Bosnia to Turkey should create new jobs, especially as Bosnian milk producers have problems exporting to EU countries.

Erdogan said he expects cooperation with the Bosnian arms industry, in the area of tourism and in infrastructure development.
