Turkey Prices Drop Sharply In October

Turkey prices dropped sharply in the month before the Thanksgiving holiday, according to data released Thursday. The consumer price index category called "other poultry including turkey" fell a sharp 1.1% in October, which is the biggest drop since April, according to the Labor Department. Chicken prices fell 1.3%, also the biggest drop since April, and pork prices slipped 0.7%, which was the biggest drop since September 2012.
