Turkey Prices Drop Sharply In October

WASHINGTON – Turkey prices dropped sharply in the month before the Thanksgiving holiday, according to data released Thursday. The consumer price index category called "other poultry including turkey" fell a sharp 1.1% in October, which is the biggest drop since April, according to the Labor Department. Chicken prices fell 1.3%, also the biggest drop since April, and pork prices slipped 0.7%, which was the biggest drop since September 2012.
