Toyota Motor Corp President Akio Toyoda apologized on Friday for a massive global recall that has tarnished the reputation of the world's largest car maker.
"We're extremely sorry to have made customers uneasy. We plan to establish the facts and give an explanation that will remove customers' concerns as soon as possible."

Toyota recalls 437,000 Prius and other hybrid vehicles worldwide to fix brake problems.
Toyota said it will voluntarily recall about 7,300 four-cylinder Camry sedans produced early in the 2010 model year because of a possible brake fluid leak.
