Toyota November Sales Up 3% To 183,346 Units

Toyota Motor Corp. said sales rose 3% in November to 183,346 units, as Thanksgiving weekend sales came in stronger than expected. "Consumer demand for light trucks continues unabated and Toyota dealers set new November sales records for light trucks and SUVs," Toyota division group vice president and general manager said in a statement. Sales of the company's Lexus model rose 7.3% to 27,472 units in the month. Shares were up 1.5% in early afternoon trade.
