Texas Won't Accept Syrian Refugees, Governor Says
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Monday that his state will not accept any refugees from Syria after Friday's deadly attack in Paris. In a letter to President Barack Obama, Abbott, a Republican, said "neither you nor any federal official can guarantee that Syrian refugees will not be part of any terroristic activity." At least one of the attackers entered Europe among the current wave of refugees, it was reported Sunday. The governor of Alabama also said Sunday he opposes relocating Syrian refugees in his state.
