Talisman Says It's In Deal Discussions With Spanish Oil Firm Repsol

Talisman Energy Inc. [s:tlm] said Monday it's in talks about a potential deal with Spanish oil heavyweight Repsol SA . Talisman's statement follows media reports that Repsol has been working to acquire the Canadian production company. Talisman also said Monday it's been approached by "a number of other parties regarding various transactions" and that no assurances can be made that a deal will result from any discussions.
