T. Rowe Price Increases Value Of Equity Holdings As It Boosts Share Stakes In Twitter, Tesla, Alibaba
T. Rowe Price Associates stock holdings increased in value by over $13 billion, or 2.8%, to $484.14 billion during the first quarter, according to the latest regulatory filings, while the S&P 500 rose just 0.4% over the same time. Among some of the moves the investment management giant made during the quarter, it boosted its share stake in Twitter Inc. by 76% to 24.98 million shares, in Tesla Motors Inc. by 36% to 8.13 million shares, in Alibaba Group by 34% to 29.87 million shares and in Apple Inc. by 6.5% to 50.11 million shares, while trimming its largest holding (by market value), Amazon.com , by 4.9% to 21.83 million shares. In addition, T. Rowe's share holdings of Lumber Liquidators was slashed 61% to 827,590 shares, while its holdings of McDonald's Corp. increased 47% to 7.52 million shares.
