T-Mobile Adds 2.1 Million Customers In Q2, Bringing Total Base To 58.9 Million

Mobile US Inc. said Thursday it added 2.1 million customers in the second quarter, up 41% from the same period a year ago, bringing its total customer base to 58.9 million. More than 1 million of that total were branded postpaid customers, which are the more valuable customer segment, the company said in a statement. That was up 11% from a year ago. The company added 178,00 branded prepaid customers in the quarter, up 75% from a year ago. Branded postpaid churn stood at 1.3%, down 16 basis points from a year ago. Shares were indicating higher in light premarket volume, and are up about 43% in the year so far, while the S&P 500 has fallen 0.6%.
