Supermarkets companies shares mixed at the close of trading

Shares of some top supermarkets companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Kroger rose $.77 or 1.1 percent, to $71.70.

Supervalu fell $.05 or .5 percent, to $10.86.

Whole Foods Market Inc. rose $1.38 or 2.9 percent, to $49.63.
