Stripe's Bitcoin Service Goes Live
Stripe's bitcoin service went live Thursday, allowing its customers to accept bitcoin payments through the payment platform. The online payment company previously offered the service in beta to a select group of businesses. Stripe will charge businesses 0.5% for each successful transaction with Bitcoin and the payments will be grouped "into the same reporting" as credit cards. Additionally, Stripe said customers using the bitcoin service can "avoid exchange rate hassles" as the company will allow customers to state the amount in U.S. dollars and they'll send the cash.
