Stocks Rise, Close At Records As Yellen Reassures
U.S. stocks moved higher Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and Dow industrials closing at records, after Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen reassured investors with her testimony before Congress. The S&P finished up by 5.84 points, or 0.3%, at 2,115.50, according to early data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 92.54 points, or 0.5%, to end at 18,209.38. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite added 7.15 points, or 0.1%, to end at 4968.12, rising for the tenth session in a row. Read the full story here.
