Stocks Open Slightly Higher As S&P 500, Nasdaq Explore Record Territory

Stocks opened slightly higher Thursday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posting intraday records. The S&P 500 rose 3.98 points, or 0.2%, to 2,408.37, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 18.21 points, or 0.3%, to 5,181.23. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 48.48 points, or 0.2%, to 21,060.90
