Stocks Make Slight Gains Ahead Of Fed Minutes

U.S. stocks posted small gains in early action Wednesday as investors awaited minutes of the Federal Reserve's March policy meeting for clues to future moves on interest rates. The Fed minutes are scheduled for release at 2 p.m. Eastern. The S&P 500 rose around 4 points, or 0.2%, to 2,080, while the Dow industrials advanced 37 points to 17,918. The Nasdaq Composite rose 13 points to 4,922.
