Stocks Close Lower; Dow Slightly Down For Quarter

U.S. stocks closed with sizable losses Tuesday, leaving the Dow industrials with a slight decline for the year's first quarter. Some analysts blamed the session's drop on expectations for disappointing first-quarter earnings.
