S&P 500, Nasdaq Open At Record Levels

U.S. stocks opened modestly higher on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite scaling fresh records. The Nasdaq Composite began the session sessions up 12 points, or 0.3%, to 5,104.51, above its previous record close. The S&P 500 gained 5 points, or 0.2%, to 2,122.62, also trading in record territory. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 59 points, or 0.3%, to 18,135.
