S&P 500, Dow Retreat From Record Highs

NEW YORK – U.S. stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the main indexes retreating from record levels. Investors focused on earnings results from retailers, such as Macy's Inc. and Fossil Group Inc. . The S&P 500 opened 7 points, or 0.3%, lower at 2,033.09. The Dow Jones Industrial Average began the day down 73 points, or 0.4% at 17,541.38. The Nasdaq Composite fell 15 points, or 0.3%, to 4,645.45.
