Nielsen Holdings said a software glitch has led to some errors in its ability to record television program ratings, according to the Hollywood trade magazine Variety. The bug, which has misallocated ratings for broadcast networks and syndication programming, has brought about the errors since March, Variety said. Nielsen officials told reporters that the effect would be miniscule on 98% to 99% of ratings. Networks affected by the bug include CBS , Walt Disney Co.'s ABC, the Fox Television Network and Comcast Corp.'s NBC.
