Senators Ask White To Eliminate Disparity In SEC Filings

Academic studies have shown that filings are distributed more quickly to private subscribers than the general public. Sens. Tim Johnson, a South Dakota Democrat, and Mike Crapo, an Idaho Republican, said the unequal access was even more troubling since it results from SEC-managed systems.
