SEC Says It Is Monitoring NYSE Market Outage
Securities and Exchange Commission Chairwoman Mary Jo White issued a statement Wednesday that the agency is in contact with the New York Stock Exchange and is closely monitoring the situation and trading in NYSE listed shares. The NYSE announced a temporary suspension of trading in all shares on its NYSE and NYSE MKT platforms at midday Wednesday. Shares continue to trade normally on all other exchanges through the resolution of the issue by Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE parent, and NYSE.
