SEC Names New Director And Deputy Director For Municipal Securities Office

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced Wednesday Jessica Kane is replacing John Cross as director of the SEC's Office of Municipal Securities, moving up from deputy director. Rebecca J. Olsen is the new deputy director. Olsen was previously the unit's chief counsel. The Office of Municipal Securities was established under the Dodd-Frank Act, to administer SEC rules on practices of broker-dealers, municipal advisors, investors, and issuers in the municipal securities area.
