SeaWorld Names New President And CEO
SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. said Thursday it named Joel Manby as its president and chief executive, effective April 7. David D'Alessandro, who has served as interim CEO, will continue to serve as the company's chairman, SeaWorld said. Manby most recently served as president and chief executive of Herschend Enterprises, the largest family-owned theme park in the U.S., the company said. SeaWorld, which has struggled amid controversy surrounding its handling of killer whales, said last month its attendance and revenue declined in the fourth quarter. Shares of SeaWorld were recently up 0.2% in after-hours trading.
