San Francisco Giants Beat Royals To Win Baseball World Series

The San Francisco Giants bested the Kansas City Royals with a 3-2 win Wednesday in Game 7 of the Major League Baseball World Series to take the championship. Helping the Giants to their victory at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium was their ace pitcher Madison Bumgarner, who managed to hold the Royals runless after taking the mound in the fifth inning of what proved to be a relatively tight game. The title marked San Francisco's third in just five years, winning as recently as 2012, while Kansas City has captured the championship only once, in 1985.
