Ruby Tuesday Shares Up After Company Narrows Quarterly Loss

Chain-restaurant operator Ruby Tuesday Inc. on Thursday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $769,000, or 1 cent a share, versus a loss of $7.4 million, or 12 cents a share, a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected the company to report a loss of 4 cents a share on the quarter. The company estimated flat same-restaurant sales for the fiscal fourth quarter and full-year same-restaurant sales to be flat or to decline 1%. The company had previously guided 2015 same-restaurant sales to be between a rise of 1%, at the top end of the range, and a 1% decrease.
