Retired Gen. David Petraeus Avoids Jail After Leaking Secrets To Mistress

Retired Gen. David Petraeus on Thursday avoided jail time after pleading guilty to providing classified information to his former mistress when he was director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Petraeus was sentenced to two years' probation and fined $100,000 by a federal judge in Charlotte, N.C., according to the New York Times.
