Red Hat Shares Rally On Earnings Beat

Red Hat Inc. shares rallied in the extended session Thursday after the software company topped Wall Street expectations for the quarter. Red Hat shares rose 9% to $67.10 on moderate volume. The company reported third-quarter earnings of 42 cents a share on revenue of $455.9 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet estimated 40 cents a share on revenue of $451.1 million.
