Recalls this week include weather radios, bicycles, hoodies and mattresses

Overheating weather radios and girls hoodies that can cause a choking hazard are among this week's recalled consumer products. Others include faulty bicycles and mattresses.

MATTRESSES

DETAILS: This recall involves rebuilt Tight Top RB Sweet Dream mattresses by J.M. Mattress. They were sold in twin, full, queen and king sizes in mattress stores in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin from September 2014 through December 2014 for between $50 and $500.

WHY: The mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard.

INCIDENTS: No incidents or injuries reported.

HOW MANY: About 240.

OFF-ROAD UTILITY VEHICLES

DETAILS: This recall includes six models of American SportWorks Four-Wheel Off-Road Utility Vehicles. The recalled models are the LandMaster 300 and 400; the BullDog 300; the Trail Wagon 400; and the Chuck Wagon 300 and 400. They were sold at Atwood Distributing, Rural King, The Home Depot and other dealers from September to June for $4,300 to $5,300

WHY: The throttle can fail and cause the driver to lose control.

INCIDENTS: No injuries or incidents were reported.

HOW MANY: About 3,500.

WEATHER RADIOS

DETAILS: This recall involves Ambient Weather radios. The weather radios are red and black and measure about 8 inches wide by 4 inches tall by 2 inches deep. "Ambient Weather," ''AM/FM/Weather Band Radio" and "NOAA Weather Radio" are printed in white lettering on the front of the radio. The radios have a black crank handle on the back, an antenna on the top, a single LED flashlight on the left side, a clip on the right side and a cable to charge a smartphone. They were sold online at AmbientWeather.com and Amazon.com from November 2012 through December 2013 for about $60.

WHY: The weather radio's power adapter can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

INCIDENTS: Three reports of fire and smoke in the back battery area. No injuries have been reported.

HOW MANY: About 12,500.

HOODIES

DETAILS: The recall is for zippered striped hoodies and tie-dye jackets from Flowers By Zoe. The lightweight hoodie has multi-colored stripes, and the tie-dye jacket has tie-dye-effect dark blue, teal, orange, pink and lime green horizontal stripes. The items have a drawstring hood, zip-up front and pockets on both sides. They was sold at several children's boutique specialty retailers between February and May for about $45.

WHY: The hoodies and jackets have drawstrings around the neck area which pose a strangulation hazard to children.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

HOW MANY: About 122.

FOR MORE: Costumers should immediately take the hoodies away from children and remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard. BICYCLES

DETAILS: The recall is for Breezer Bicycles models Downtown 3, Downtown 3-ST, Downtown 8, Downtown 8-ST, Downtown EX and Downtown EX-ST. The main frame is made of steel and has either a single or dual water bottle mount, and the wheel sets are aluminum. The bicycles come in eight different sizes and a variety of colors, including candy apple, chartreuse, chocolate, dark blue, dark green, shale and slate. They were sold at Breezer Bicycles dealers nationwide from July 2014 through May 2015 for about $450 to $650.

WHY: The pedal can fall off and cause the rider to lose control, creating a crash hazard.

INCIDENTS: 12 reports of pedals falling off. No injuries reported.

HOW MANY: About 1,700.
