Recalls this week include cocktail shaker sets, cable stripping tools, fake Christmas trees

A line of cocktail shaker sets that can shatter unexpectedly have been recalled this week. Other consumer products being recalled include artificial Christmas trees and cable stripping tools.

COCKTAIL SHAKER SETS

DETAILS: Hula Girl Cocktail Shaker and Glass Sets sold at Tommy Bahama stores nationwide and online at www.TommyBahama.com from September 2014 through January 2015. The shaker sets were sold in a yellow and light brown box with a white label on the bottom of the package with the Tommy Bahama logo and code TH31993 printed on it.

WHY: The glass shaker can break or shatter unexpectedly, potentially cutting someone.

INCIDENTS: Five reports of the glass shaker breaking or shattering. In one case, stitches were required after a shaker broke.

CABLE STRIPPING TOOLS

DETAILS: Pressmaster Xcelite professional stripping tool for round cables. The tools are black and about six inches long, with "Xcelite" and "CJS 200" printed on them. They were sold at hardware and industrial supply stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from August 2014 to November 2014.

WHY: The tool's plastic end cap can fly off, potentially hitting someone.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREES

DETAILS: 7-foot tall artificial Christmas trees lighted by optical fibers in the branches and sold at Hayneedle.com from August 2014 to December 2014. The trees have a base that contains a 60-watt light and a motor that rotates a multi-colored disc that makes the optic fibers in the trees change colors. Recalled trees are white with a silver base and green with a black base.

WHY: The motor that turns the color disc can overheat, posing the risk of a fire.

INCIDENTS: 20 reports of smoke and a burning smell coming from the motor. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

HOW MANY: About 220.
