Recalls This Week: Bean Bag Chairs, Toy Monkeys
Bean bag chairs that can trap kids are among this week's recalled consumer products. Others include a toy monkey that sings and stress balls.

BEAN BAG CHAIRS
DETAILS: Bean bag chairs sold at Burlington Coat Factory, Kroger, Meijer and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon, Bean Bag Company, Groupon, Kohls, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, Wayfair and other online retailers. They were sold between January 2010 and October 2013 for up to $40. The recalled ones have a tag on the seam that reads "Made By Comfort Research" and "100% Polystyrene." They come in many colors and patterns.
WHY: The zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened by kids. If they crawl inside, they can get trapped and choke on the chair's foam beads.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

SING-ALONG MONKEY TOYS
DETAILS: Giggles International Animated Sing-Along Monkey toys. They were sold at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores from September to October for about $25. The recalled ones were made between June 7 and July 5 and have a batch code of GP1410028. That information is printed on a white tag near the monkey's tail.
WHY: The battery compartment can reach temperatures up to 230 degrees, a burn hazard. Customers can take the toy back to Cracker Barrel for a refund.
INCIDENTS: Two reports of toys overheating and melting their battery compartments.

STRESS BALLS
DETAILS: Gift Gallery Moody Face Stress Balls sold at Wegmans locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia in September for $1. They are solid rubber balls that you can squeeze in your hand and come in five colors: blue, green, orange, red and yellow. They have a smiley face printed on the front with pink, orange or yellow yarn hair on top. The balls measure about 2.5 inches in diameter. The stress balls were packaged in a clear bag with a white square label that has the "Gift Gallery" logo, model number 205617 and UPC code 0-67103-30053-6.
WHY: The balls can break into pieces when squeezed, posing a choking risk to young children. Customers can bring them back to Wegmens for a refund.

WINDOW SHADES
DETAILS: WindowTex custom-made fabric roller window shades that are raised and lowered by a side-mounted chain. Roller shades included in this recall have idlers with model number D15T, used with a 1½-inch roller tube, and model number D20T, used with a 2-inch roller tube. They were sold at WindowTex authorized dealers nationwide from April through June.
WHY: A steel pin inserted into the idler on the shades can come out and cause the shade to fall from the mounting bracket, which can fall on someone.
INCIDENTS: Six reports of steel pins dislodging from the window shade idler, causing some of the shades to fall. No injuries have been reported.

KIDS HOODIES
DETAILS: Ski-Doo or Can-Am hooded sweatshirts in 14 styles for boys and girls. They were sold at BRP dealerships nationwide and online at www.can-am.brp.com and www.ski-doo.com from April 2007 through December 2014 for between $40 and $65.The recalled ones have style numbers: 286485, 453215, 453265, 453320, 453321, 453375, 453376, 453464, 453618, 453658, 453660, 453661, 453707 and 453708.
WHY: The hoodies have drawstrings which pose a strangulation risk. Customers can take it to where they bought it for a refund.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

DETAILS: Kiddie Korral pink girl's hoodies with ponies on them. They were sold at children's boutiques, gift shops and other specialty retail stores nationwide from December 2012 to November 2014 for about $25.A label near the neck says Kiddie Korral and another on the side seam has RN#117026 and style number 327.
WHY: The hoodies have drawstrings which pose a strangulation risk. Customers can take it to where they bought it for a refund.

YAMAHA OFF-ROAD MOTORCYCLES
DETAILS: The 2015 Yamaha off-road motorcycles with model numbers YZ250FFL and YZ250FFW. They were sold in blue and white or red and white. They were sold from May to November at Yamaha dealers nationwide for about $7,600.
WHY: The engine can lock up, causing a rider to lose control of the vehicle and crash, which can result in injuries or death. Customers can take the motorcycle back to a Yamaha dealer to have the issue fixed.
