Prudential Financial Shares Edge Higher On Buyback Plan
Shares of Prudential Financial Inc. rose in Tuesday's extended trade after the financial firm announced a new stock repurchase program. Prudential said its board approved a new buyback plan of up to $1 billion to replace the current one which is expiring at the end of June. The company had bought back about $750 million worth of shares out of $1 billion previously allocated. Prudential shares are up 0.3% to $88.23.
