PPG Board Approves 5-cents Hike In Quarterly Dividend To 45 Cents a Share

PPG Industries Inc. said Thursday its board has approved a 5-cents increase in its quarterly dividend to 45 cents a share. The new dividend will be payable Sept. 12 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 10. Shares were down 5% in early trade, tracking losses in shares of rival paints company Sherwin-Williams after an earnings miss.
