Polish airliner makes emergency landing in Scotland; no injuries reported

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by the Polish airline LOT has made an emergency landing at Scotland's Glasgow airport.

Glasgow Airport spokesman Brian McClean said Friday that the flight from Chicago en route to Warsaw landed safely at 11:35 a.m. He says the landing was made at the request of the captain, but that no further information is available on what prompted the decision.

The airport declared a full emergency as a precautionary measure, though officials say there was no smoke reported. No injuries were reported.

The airport remains open as normal.
